"Having the privilege to be educated in the Catholic school system has taught me so many things. The most important thing it taught me is what I want to briefly reflect on with you all this evening, and that is the power of faith. More specifically, I want to focus on the power of believing.
"Henry Ford once said, 'Whether you think you can or you can’t you’re right.'
"This quote was first introduced to me by Coach Leppo, who as many of you may know, is the head coach of Delone Catholic’s successful volleyball program. To me, this quote reveals the power of believing in yourself. As we reach towards the future, this will become an even more important element of character to carry with us as we go forth.
Opportunities for learning outside the classroom such as this are supplementary to the high quality of education and strong moral foundation that set graduates of Delone Catholic apart.
"By believing in ourselves and working hard, this class has produced incredible theatrical productions, cheered on a winning football team, won district championships, county championships, a state championship, band competitions and of course dominated pep rallies too. This class’s ability to persevere and believe was recently exemplified by our Squirette basketball team who after suffering a loss in the district finals, never stopped believing in themselves and rallied to emerge victorious in the state championship game."
