Delone Catholic High School exists to challenge students spiritually, academically, physically, socially and aesthetically within the traditions and teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. This challenge will inspire students to experience Jesus Christ personally and to “Be Doers of the Word.”

At Delone Catholic, that statement is not just our mission, it is our ministry. Through our rich spiritual environment, challenging academic curriculum and extensive extracurricular offerings, we seek to mold young adults into healthy, happy adults whose lives enrich their families, their Church and their communities. We firmly believe that Catholic education should be accessible to all families who wish it for their children. However, we understand that financial considerations make a Catholic education seem out of reach to some families. Therefore, we have established tuition assistance for families who need assistance to achieve the goal of Catholic education. Currently, about 17 percent of Delone Catholic families receive some tuition assistance, based on need as determined through an application process.

Neumann Scholarships for Pennsylvania Families

The Diocese of Harrisburg, in response to the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit Law (EITC), created the Neumann Scholarship Foundation. The EITC program provides tax credits to businesses that contribute to qualified scholarship organizations. The Neumann Scholarship Foundation has been approved by the State of Pennsylvania as a qualified scholarship organization. All scholarships offered by the Foundation are provided in accord with the laws governing this program.

Scholarships are offered to qualified students attending Catholic schools in the Diocese of Harrisburg, on a basis of need. In order to meet the state requirements, the scholarship organizations must demonstrate that families meet the state eligibility requirements. The Neumann Scholarship Foundation has contracted with FACTS Management to process the information provided by families applying for scholarships. FACTS will provide the Neumann Scholarship Foundation with a relative ranking of need among the eligible families. The Foundation will award scholarships on the basis of this information. Scholarships are available for grades Pre-Kindergarten to 12.

Tuition and Assistance for Maryland Families

Through the generosity of alumni, friends and other benefactors, Delone Catholic is able to offer need-based tuition assistance to families who cannot be awarded scholarships through the Diocese of Harrisburg's Neumann Scholarship Foundation. Tuition assistance can only be determined by completing an aid assessment. Beginning in 2017, Delone Catholic will begin using the services of FACTS to assist in determining the assistance amount for each family.  FACTS is an objective and professional organization that specializes in student aid analysis using federal methodology. After examining each family situation, a decision is made on eligibility for tuition assistance. Priority will be given to Catholic families who are registered in their Parish and actively participate in parish life.
